As a broqué medical student AP quickly realized that her default appearance would include scrubs, a surgical cap, and mask—Leaving only her eyes to tell HERstory. She counted on her lashes to embrace femininity while working in a completely male dominated field and to boost her confidence in a space where it was most needed.

As a student, AP tried hundreds lash brands. After countless failed hauls, she identified the overarching issue of not having lashes compatible with her life and work as a surgeon. She also knew the struggle women face in maintaining their appearance and, as a result, confidence, while working long hours. She saw an opportunity.

She spent countless hours researching and testing different materials, adhesive formulas, and application techniques to create a line of lashes that were comfortable, easy to use, sustainable, and long-lasting. She tested every product, curious to see if they would hold up against the intense conditions in the operating room. Confident in her product, Dr. AP structured a sustainable regimen for daily application without sacrificing valuable time OR energy.

Dr. AP chose Power Play Cosmetics to refer to the use of makeup to assert one's confidence. To us, lashes are the perfect accessory.
